Thank you to all the student scientists for completing the Science Challenge! We hope you felt challenged but inspired and motivated to continue learning more about science and understand how diverse the science field really is!
This year was the first ever Science Challenge and it was a success! The YEA board hosted 2 prep sessions, throughout June and early July and put in hours of work in creating detailed slides, prepping for the Science Challenge, and running the event.
We would like to first congratulate our winners of the Science Challenge! Congratulations:
3rd-4th Grade: Rachel Huang from Renascence School International Orange County
5th-6th Grade: Nathan Liu from Landell Elementary
7th-8th Grade: Darsh Maheshwari from Oxford Academy
Winners, remember to pick up your prizes at the YEA office (7002 Moody St, 217, La Palma, CA 90623) starting on Saturday, July 24th!
We would also like to thank all the donors for their generous donations! We are extremely grateful for their commitments and sending the donations in a timely manner. Their donations and support allow YEA and YEA's student leaders to provide the best resources, events, and content for students.

YEA is organizing it's first free YEA Science Challenge for students in 3rd through 7th grade! It will be an opportunity for students to test their science knowledge in a friendly, fun environment .Winners will win prizes! Registration will be closed on July 14, 2021.
EVENT DETAILS:
YEA Science Challenge 2021 will be held VIRTUALLY over Zoom. A Zoom link invite will be sent to the registered students by email. All participants must have access to a computer or tablet with a camera, as their actions will be supervised by the Proctor. The Proctor will watch for infractions of rules, including, but not limited to seeking or obtaining help from someone nearby, looking anything up in books or online, or wandering eyes.
Prior to the competition, the YEA Student Board will provide two preparation sessions which will review related topics including biology, chemistry, environmental science, etc.

Winners of this competition will receive certificates, trophies, and prizes. We rely on donations to purchase prizes for winners. Any amount of contribution would be appreciated.
