​About the Science Program at YEA

The Science Program at YEA is organized by the YEA Student Board.  It offers various activities, including YEA Science Competition,  Fun Bio & Chem Workshop Series (since 2020), and Biology Olympiad Prep.

​(New) Biology Olympiad Prep:

What: A pathway to USA Biology Olympiad.
Instructor:  Emily Ren, Vice President at Young Engineers in Action, USABO Semifinalist, Science Olympiad medalist, Co-President of Diamond Bar High School USABO Club
Plan: 1-hour virtual class per week until the USABO semifinal exam in 3/2023; 1 topic covered per week, with lectures, in-class and after-class practices of USABO real exam questions.
Schedule: 9:00-10:00pm every Friday, starting 5/27/2022.
Who should attend: For middle and high schoolers who have basic knowledge of biology and are interested in taking USA Biology Olympiad open exams in 2023 and/or 2024.
Cost: $100 for 10 classes or $400 for all 40 classes as administration fee
