​About the Science Program at YEA

The Science Program at YEA is organized by the YEA Student Board.  It offers various activities, including YEA Science Competition,  Fun Bio & Chem Workshop Series (since 2020), and Biology Olympiad Prep.

​(New) Biology Olympiad Prep - USABO Prep 302:

What: A pathway to USA Biology Olympiad.
Instructor:  Emily Ren 
• President, Young Engineers in Action
• Lecturer, Fun Bio & Chem Workshop Series (since 2020)
• Two-time USABO Semifinalist
• AIME Qualifier with Distinction Award
• Science Olympiad medalist (since 2016)
• Co-President, Diamond Bar High School USABO Club

Plan: 1-hour virtual class per week until the USABO semifinal exam in 3/2024; 1 topic covered per week, with lectures, in-class and after-class practices of USABO real exam questions.
Schedule:  9:00-10:00 PM every Friday, starting 5/26/2023.
Who should attend: For middle and high schoolers who have basic knowledge of biology and are interested in taking USA Biology Olympiad open exams in 2024 and/or 2025.
Cost: $125 for 10 classes or $500 for all 40 classes as administration fee
