YEA-2020 Math Challenge
YEA is organizing it's 4th annual free YEA Math Challenge for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade! It will be an opportunity for students to review material, encounter new type of problems, and test their skills in a friendly, fun environment .Winners will win prizes! Registration was closed on August 12, 2020 already.
EVENT DETAILS:
For this year, YEA Math Challenge 2020 will be held VIRTUALLY over Zoom. A Zoom link invite will be sent out by email for registered students. All participants must have access to a computer or tablet with a camera, as their actions will be supervised by the Proctor. The Proctor will watch for infractions of rules, including, but not limited to using a calculator, seeking or obtaining help from someone nearby, looking anything up in books or online, or wandering eyes.

Virtual, Saturday, August 15, 10:00 am - 12:20 pm
PRACTICE CONTEST:
A practice online contest will be offered on August 8 by a Zoom meeting at the following link so that all computer-related and internet problems could be ironed out before the actual contest. Rules will be reviewed as well.
DONATIONS:
Winners of this competition will receive certificates, trophies, and prizes. We again rely on donations to purchase prizes for winners. Any amount of contribution would be appreciated. We will use every penny of the donations for prizes of this event. All donations to YEA are tax deductible. As of Aug 16, we have received a total of $585 of donations from the following students/parents. Thanks for their generous support!
Winners:
Number of winners will be determined based on the number of participants with each grade. After the event, the first-place winners can make an appointment to pick up trophies from the YEA office. Certificates will be distributed by email and prizes will be sent to the winners from Amazon directly. Winners will be limited to those who have registered for the contests.
