​YEA 24 Challenge is back!

Many of you have asked about the 24 Challenge... and yes, the long-awaited YEA 24 Competition is back! Way back before the pandemic hit, YEA has long hosted 24 Challenges for our community, and we are very honored to host it in-person again.

The contest will take place on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 from 2:30pm - 4:00pm. It is open to all students from 1st through 8th grade. Once again, the event is in-person and will be taking place at the YEA Office (217): 7002 Moody St, La Palma, CA 90623. Rules: 
For those of you that are unfamiliar with this super fun game, participants will be given sets of numbers from which 4 cards will be chosen. Using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, it will always be possible to calculate the 4 numbers in any order using the 4 operations to achieve an answer of 24.

​To earn a point, one must say the solution before the opponent, and the goal is to earn as many points as one can within a certain time frame. This competition will be in a double elimination format, and students will start out divided within their grade levels.

We are happy to be offering potential prizes such as free t-shirt, 3D-Printed trophy, and class discount coupons. Hoping to see everyone there!
